So, this is one of my first sewn plushies. I can't even begin to explain how crazy the process for making this was! I had to redo the head because the eyes were too small, so I had to redo the embroidery design...and then again because they weren't lined up right (1/2 cm off)... the first version of the body made the pony look emaciated.

From start to finish, this plushie has been completely my own design (not the character mind you, just the plush). I designed the embroidery files myself ([link] << my shop). I designed the pattern for the pony completely from scratch. I actually drew it up on large size construction paper :). Then after sewing the main parts together, I designed the mane/tail. Then sewed them together and hand sewed them to the pony. Quite a big difference between crocheting ponies and sewing them!

Yes, but it is a pattern I spent a lot of time to create so I'm not giving it away or selling it.

I haven't figured out pricing for these just yet. Once I do, I will post the info in my journal (under my commission information for everything else I make) and I'll send you a link :).

It's all about the timing lol. I said I didn't know on here for sewn plushies (because it was before I figured it out).

On Facebook I give out slots and prices each month for which ever type of commission I'm offering. March was the first month I've offered SEWN plush, so I just figured out pricing for those plushies last week. I have been making crocheted plushies for about two years now, those prices have been established for a while now :).

Does that make a bit more sense? ^^;

I do ^-^...but right now my commissions aren't open. I'm moving into a new apartment in the next month, so I don't want to take on any new commissions until I get myself organized in my new place. I'm going to post a journal when I plan on opening up a few commission slots, so you can keep an eye on that if you'd like :3

I've always looked at patterns as an expression of one's self ^-^ ~ I'm sure if you create your own, although time consuming to do, you'll feel a much greater satisfaction once you finish.

Here's how I make patterns... I use a cheap fabric (muslin) and use it for my first draft. Then I sew this pattern together and use a fabric pen/marker to kinda "take notes" on the pattern... like areas that need to come in a little or need to go out. Then I take apart this plush (seam ripper) and cut a new pattern out of more of this fabric, making the adjustments that I wrote about. I keep repeating the process until I like the plush :) ...at that point, I use the revised pattern to make the plushie out of nice fabric.

I totally agree, there's a lot of ponies who just go through their pony lives with very little love. Everypony deserves all the love! :3
I plan on focusing on some other BG ponies too in the near future. ^-^
